Pulping

What do our books, packaging, diapers, bath tissue, rayon clothing, inks, soaps, perfumes, and toothpaste have in common? In many cases these materials come from a wood pulping process.

Pulp mills generate paper and other pulp mill products we use many times a day. North American pulp mills create these products primarily from planted forests and sustainably manage natural forests.  More than 60% of the paper products produced in North America are ultimately recycled, and more than 35% of new paper products come from recycled fiber.

DuBois manufactures specialty chemicals to support manufactures of virgin and recycled fiber pulps.

Our technologies include:

  • A complete line of scale inhibition products
  • Unique pitch and recycled fiber stickies control solutions
  • Yield and quality enhancement solutions including digester aids and dissolving pulp specialty products
  • Fireside additives to improve combustion in biomass boilers and Kraft/sulfite recovery boilers
  • Odor and H2S control products to remove dangerous gases such as hydrogen sulfite and other sulfur-based odorous materials
  • Freeze control products ensure effective operation of conveyors, chutes, and other surfaces during harsh winter environments.
