The Synthetics product class consists of water-soluble, synthetic rust inhibitors and corrosion preventatives designed for use on ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Offering short to long-term indoor storage protection, in-process rust prevention, and can be used in various applications such as spray washing, immersion, and grinding. The Synthetics line is characterized by its oil-free, low-foaming formulations that provide excellent corrosion protection while remaining environmentally safe and compatible with a wide range of metals.
Synthetic Rust Inhibitor and Grinding Fluid
DuBois 104SW is a water-soluble synthetic rust inhibitor and grinding fluid for use on ferrous and nonferrous metals.
Synthetic Rust Preventive
GX Proof 6151Y is a synthetic-based rust preventive that provides long-term protection with a dry, imperceptible film. It was developed to be used on all metals and is environmentally safe.
Corrosion Inhibitor
GX Proof 1293 is a medium-duty, low-foam, corrosion preventive developed for use on ferrous surfaces only. This synthetic based corrosion inhibitor does not contain amines or oil. Proper use will result in an excellent low residue film build that can provide excellent indoor storage protection.
Nitrite-Based Rust Inhibitor
Rust Prevent 910 is a water-soluble, nitrite-based rust inhibitor and grinding fluid for use on ferrous and nonferrous metals.
Water Soluble, Synthetic Corrosion Inhibitor
Rust Prevent SYN 3-X is a highly concentrated synthetic, oil free corrosion inhibitor used to protect ferrous metals between stages of production. Rust Prevent SYN 3-X will protect for approximately 30 days indoor storage and / or while in shipment. Rust Prevent SYN 3-X is very low foaming allowing it to be applied by a variety of methods including a re-circulating spray washer, immersion and dip applications.
Rust Prevent SYN 3-X is water soluble and contains no oil. When diluted with water it forms a clear solution. RUST Rust Prevent SYN 3-X contains no chlorine, sulfur, silicone, phenols, or nitrites.
The Emulsifiable Oil product class consists of water-soluble, emulsion-type rust preventatives designed to provide excellent corrosion protection for ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Offering short to medium-term indoor protection, ranging from 3 to 6 months. The Emulsifiable Oil line is characterized by its ability to form stable emulsions in water, even in the presence of alkaline or acidic contaminants. These products can be applied through various methods, such as spraying, immersion, and flooding, and leave a light, oily film on the metal surface. The Emulsifiable Oil products are easy to clean off using mild alkaline cleaners and provide a cost-effective solution for rust prevention in industrial settings.
Emulsion Rust Preventative
Lab Oil 100 is a water soluble emulsion type rust preventative that can be applied over phosphate, black oxide or bare steel.
Lab Oil 100 combines the properties of high corrosion resistance, “dry to the touch” (over phosphate), excellent emulsification characteristics and low toxicity.
Lab Oil 100 contains no barium compounds. Emulsions of Lab Oil 100 applied over zinc phosphated steel panels have survived in excess of 240 hours of salt spray exposure (ASTM B-117).
Lab Oil 100 has been formulated to also offer excellent emulsion stability to alkaline or acid contamination as encountered in black oxide or phosphating processing cycles. Ordinary water soluble rust preventatives have extremely poor stability to alkaline or acid contamination.
Lab Oil 100WT is a water-soluble emulsion-type rust preventative. An incorporated wax component provides lubricity to meet automotive torque requirements. it combines the properties of high corrosion resistance, “dry to the touch” (over phosphate), excellent emulsification characteristics, and low toxicitiy. It contains no barium compounds.
Emulsions of Lab Oil 100WT applied over zinc phosphate have passed 168 hours of salt spray exposure (ASTM B117). Lab Oil 100WT has been formulated to also offer excellent emulsion stability to alkaline or acid contamination as encountered in black oxide or phosphating processing cycles. Ordinary water-soluble rust preventatives have extremely poor stability to alkaline or acid contamination.
Lab Oil 100WT, when used over Ultraphos 1224 or Ultraphos 1500C, is approved for GM Specification GMW3179 Code G.
Water Emulsifiable Rust Preventive
Perkote 10-985 is a water emulsifiable rust preventive that is designed to provide indoor rust protection of up to 6 months on ferrous metals. Perkote 10-985 can be applied by typical applications including spray, immersion, and flooding.
Water-Soluble Oil Rust Inhibitor
Rust Prevent 100 water-soluble oil rust inhibitor typically gives 3 to 6 months indoor rust protection. It is extremely easy to clean off using mild alkaline cleaner. Rust Prevent 100 is easily applied by dipping, brushing, or spraying. It is especially good for dip application on parts whose configuration is such that flooding provides the best or only method of getting Rust Prevent 100 to the place of contact.
The Solvent Based product class consists of rust preventatives and corrosion inhibitors designed to provide long-term protection for ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Offering extended indoor and outdoor protection, ranging from several months to over a year. The Solvent Based line is characterized by its ability to displace water effectively and leave a thin, protective film on the metal surface. These products can be applied by various methods, such as spraying, dipping, or brushing, and are easily removed using conventional cleaning methods. The Solvent Based products provide exceptional corrosion protection in challenging environments where coolants, water, alkaline cleaners, or high humidity are present, making them ideal for in-process or final protection applications.
Rust Preventive
CimGuard® Oak Protect® 408 is a solvent-based corrosion preventive designed for use on ferrous and non-ferrous metals. This product can provide up to 24 months of indoor and outdoor protection if parts are kept undercover when stored outdoors. It is particularly useful for coating internal or interconnecting parts that are subject to metal-to-metal wear. CimGuard® Oak Protect® 408 is recommended for use in steel mills or foundries, especially for coating parts that will be shipped overseas. It leaves a transparent, elastic coating that allows for visual inspection of parts and will expand or contract without cracking.
CimGuard® Oak Protect® 2405 is a solvent/oil-based corrosion preventive formulated for use on ferrous and non-ferrous metals. When used as received, this product can provide up to 24 months of indoor protection and outdoor protection if parts are stored properly. CimGuard® Oak Protect® 2405 is resistant to high humidity and acid atmospheres, and it deposits a thin, oily residue that can be cleaned by aqueous cleaners or vapor degreasers. Although it can be diluted with solvent or oil, doing so will reduce the protection time. For best results, metal parts should be cleaned prior to application, and the solvent should be given adequate drying time before parts are packed.
GX Proof 8140 is a solvent based corrosion inhibitor which is designed to be used as received to achieve long term (1-year plus indoors) rust inhibition. This product is formulated to pass a 48 hour salt spray analysis. GX Proof 8140 may be diluted with petroleum solvent for further economy in applications requiring shorter term corrosion protection. This product will leave an oily, thin film.
Solvent Rust Inhibitor Oil
Pen Dip 300 is a barium-free, solvent-type, rust inhibiting oil with exceptional water displacing properties. Pen Dip 300 is an all around thin film rust preventative that is particularly good for use on parts which have been black oxide finished and will also protect highly finished parts between operations. Pen Dip 300 has a flash point of 145°F.
Solvent Rust Inhibiting Oil
Pen Dip A is a solvent-type water displacing oil that produces an extremely dry film. Pen Dip A is particularly useful on parts that have been black oxide finished which require a dry-to-the touch rust preventative coating. Pen Dip A has a flash point of 145°F (T.C.C.).
Perkote 30-266 is an outstanding water displacing, non-emulsifiable, non-staining, thin film rust preventive. Ideal for in process or final protection where coolants, water, alkaline cleaner or high humidity are present.
Barium Free Rust Preventive
Perkote 30-268-HC is an outstanding water displacing, non-emulsifiable, non-staining, thin film rust preventive. Ideal for in process or final protection where coolants, water, alkaline cleaner or high humidity are present.
The Straight Oil product class consists of oil-type rust preventatives designed to protect metal surfaces from corrosion. Offering long-term indoor storage protection, exceeding one to two years. The Straight Oil line is characterized by its ability to displace water effectively and leave a soft, oily film on the metal surface. These products can be easily applied by dipping, spraying, or brushing and are readily removed using conventional cleaning methods. The Straight Oil products are economical and versatile, making them ideal for various applications, such as straightener slushing oil or final rust preventive for steel bars in the cold-drawn steel industry. They provide exceptional corrosion protection in challenging environments where coolants, water, alkaline cleaners, or high humidity are present.
Perkote 40-315-B is an outstanding water displacing, non-emulsifiable, non-staining, thin film rust preventive. Ideal for in process or final protection where coolants, water, alkaline cleaner or high humidity are present.
