With the issuance of SC17-30 in June 2017, CMS has mandated that every hospital and long term care facility have a water management plan to protect patients and staff from the risks of waterborne pathogens such as Legionella. Nephros Filtration offers point-of-use solutions that remove viruses and bacteria (including Legionella) from water systems prior to exposure to patients or staff. Nephros offers a full line of products that provide solutions for locations in healthcare facilities where infection is likely to occur:
Shower Filter Solutions – Due to the transfer of bacteria through atomization, showers are one of the primary sources of patient exposure. Nephros offers several products which can be used to provide up to 6 months of protection.
Sink Filter Solutions – Sinks are another primary source of exposure due to the possibility of atomization. Nephos offers filters that can be plumbed into existing lines, or that can easily attach to sink spouts.
Ice Machine Filter Solutions – Ice machines are critical control points of every hospital’s Water Management Program. Nephros’ filter offerings for ice machines not only better remove harmful bacteria and viruses, but do so with a longer useful life and use cost than the competition.
